New "Failure to Launch" Treatment Study at Yale Child Study Center

I wanted to let people know that we have launched a treatment study of parent-based treatment for parents of highly dependent adult children at the Yale Child Study Center. Treatment will be at no cost to families participating in the clinical study.

Please refer interested families to uri.berger@yale.edu

I'm assuming that this is only for Connecticut families?

The study is not limited to CT, can be anywhere in the US, Eli

Would you be open to taking Canadian families? I'm working with a family in Canada that would be interested.

Hi! We are currently seeking ethical approval to extend the study to residents of other countries. We hope to have this in place soon and I will update here or you may send me an email about it. Eli

Hi Eli, I just completed the SPACE training 15m ago. I heard you mention where I could learn more information about the clinical trial for dependent teens. I am co-leading a group for kids who are failing to launch. We have three built in modules to meet with their parents and I would like to mention your trial. Can you please send me more information?

I am so grateful to you for the training you just led. I am excited to begin working with families using SPACE and feel very confident to recommend to families. I am also excited to stay tuned for more of your books, trainings and studies. You are really gifted as a clinician, researcher and communicator which will definitely impact my work.

Thank you,

Brooke

Hi Brooke! Thank you very much for participating and for your kind words!

The trial is open to enrollment and involves an initial assessment and then parent-based sessions, followed by a post-treatment assessment. Everything can be done online (does not require in person participation). However, it is for parents of adult children, over 18. To get more information or for enrollment for families contact: uri.berger@yale.edu
